Erich Mayer possesses extensive international experience as a management consultant, investor, and entrepreneur. His expertise spans financing, operational and strategic support, advisory, supervision, restructuring, and divestment of companies across various industries. After completing his studies in aerospace engineering at the Technical University of Munich (TU Munich), he began his career as an engineer at MBB and Dornier. His subsequent career included roles in management consulting at A.T. Kearney, as well as in venture capital, private equity, and M&A at TVM Capital, Treuhandanstalt, and IMH Venture. He served on the advisory or supervisory boards of more than 20 portfolio companies, often acting as chairman. In addition to raising capital for several venture capital funds with a total volume of approximately €150 million, he executed ten successful M&A transactions. Since 2010, his professional focus has been on supporting companies through the deployment of precisely matched interim managers. Furthermore, through Gateway Knowledge Partner, he offers consulting and support services to companies across various sectors and disciplines.

Amal Mukhopadhyay holds a doctorate in biochemistry and is a scientist and entrepreneur in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology sectors. He possesses extensive experience in business development, research management, and corporate leadership. He arrived in Germany in 1975. In the early 1980s, he became Director of the IHF (Institute for Hormone and Fertility Research) at a renowned hospital in Hamburg. He has many years of experience with projects spanning both applied research—often in collaboration with pharmaceutical companies—and basic research. He has established an international reputation as an organizer of scientific congresses in Europe and India. In 2005, he founded ELGA Biotech in Hamburg, a company that complemented and supported the activities of Gateway Knowledge Partners. Today, he focuses on the Hanseatic India Forum e.V.
